at least for a while

from what I hear, it got nice in portland as soon as I left! it would figure.

I’ve finally gotten around to scanning some photos, and these are the first from the diana+ that I’ve been playing with lately. had I the patience to trawl ebay for an authentic, old-school diana or clone that worked, I would have, but instead I went for the Lomo version which has some additional features and was sure to work the first time. it’s still a cheap, plastic camera — just less cheap compared to when they were given away.

aside from a scratchy piece inside that traced the center line of nearly the entire first roll, I was pleased with the vignetted, dreamy results. the guy I picked up my prints from (not my usual people) kind of snobbed down on the camera. considering that less and less people use film every year, it seemed kind of silly, especially since there aren’t a ton of medium-format cameras floating about in the “reasonably affordable” range.
