i have never been able to figure out this color combination. slighty neon mint green with maroon shutters?

show last night. it was so nice to see my favorite again — they opened with burning hearts, which i had heard a few random times before. their new wave revival filled up the space impressively.

b&s were generally excellent, except they had another pretty atrocious light display that swept across the balcony, shining directly into everyone's eyes as it went. it was incredibly distracting. the stupid thing is that the exact same thing happened the last time i saw them. do they have no idea? or is literally blinding their audience their intent? the pseudo strobe flashing during the encore of "sleep around the clock" was making me a little nauseous.

also i got annoyed with fans who wanted everyone to get up and dance. it's the old "i'm getting old" cliche, but i paid to be able to sit down and to see the stage!
